All dressed up with somewhere to go

I decided to play with the new Blogger in Draft templates, just for fun, since so many others have said the system works pretty well. Should have known that once I started exploring, I'd want to make a change. So here I am at 3 a.m. putting a new, dressed-up version of BLissed-Out Grandma online. I don't love everything about it, but it's time to get some sleep. Besides, the last change I tried to make got the error message that probably means too many of you are doing the same thing and the system is overloaded.

This new template is a little more spacious than the old one...like letting out the seams just a bit. Not that I would know about that. This one also has slightly larger type...not that I would need that, either.

Have you tried it? Did you find it easy to work with? One question I have: why doesn't a person's header just get centered in the space instead of placed flush left? If it were centered, people wouldn't have to make new, wider headers. Just sayin.'

It looks great! And I see you have chosen the same one I like, with the birds flying out the side. They should give the option of where to center the header. And with it taking one 950 pixels wide, if you change that header to another, you'll have to change it then, too. But I love the looks of this, it's so lovely. The seams out like this make it fit better. :-)

It's lovely Bliss! The soft pastels are so spring...

(and no worries here, when I'm tired I write dark--chuckle--I think I need to reword that piece a bit...)

Lovely template! I'm too technologically challenged to do anything fancy with mine.

Yep. I have tried most of them. I also try others and end up getting myself confused sometimes. They are so easy to use and you can use it to change the width of the sidebar or the main part. That is harder to do by hand - so the slider is marvelous.

I like this one. It took me a while to figure out how to get rid of those flying birds and off hand I can't remember but it wasn't that hard. LOL

Thanks for stopping by.

I love your new look! I might work up the nerve to try it one of these times.

It must be the lure of spring, dragging us all into a change. I LOVE the new look. I don't have any answers about your header...I have my own issues with some of my stuff showing up in Italian...so...good luck with that. ;) I will have to jot your site down for future use, though. Seeing how easy it was to change my template could be dangerous for my productivity level.

I like the new look. I'm with those who are a little scared to start trying to change thing since I have messed things up in the past.

I have wanted to make my blog 3 columns since I started blogging and I'm afraid to try it for fear I will lose everything. Yours looks very nice. I've not tried doing anything to mine.

Great look! I look at them but I am afraid that I will mess something up. So of the print was hard for me to read but yours looks good!

I can't believe you just did this! So did I. Love the airy clean look of this. I almost went with this but the whole left-flush header would have really been weird with my feather.

I was scared at first but checked in with another blogger first to be sure that I wouldn't lose my content. When he assured me I wouldn't, I just went in like a bull in a china shop and had a blast.
