Coming in like a lion...

Meet Dave, who represents St. Paul firefighters for the month of March. The calendar benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Autism Society of Minnesota.

I'm always pleased to turn the page to March. It's still winter in these parts, but new snow usually melts fairly quickly in March, the sun is noticeably warmer, and days are growing longer. It's also my birthday month, and spring training is underway in major league baseball. Life is good.

Nice looking fellow!

It's been rain/snow/wind here for the last week. I love it!

Hi, Dave! Even though it's raining this week, the daffodils and bulbs are blooming. Spring is starting.

Happy March, Karen! I too am happy to see it coming, it's the month of Spring! And Mr. March is quite the hunk!

The first day of March is a day of promise for all the good that is to come as we head into spring. The calendar helps immensely.

That hunky, shirtless Mr. March would be happy here today with temps in the 60s. We'll doubtless get more snow soon, but for now I'm lovin' the new month.

Great calendar for great causes. Did you enjoy turning to March because it means Spring is coming or because you can look at this nice looking man for a month? Come on, tell the truth!

WHOA. Mr. March. I think I have a fire over here!! It is at least very hot around me and I'm too young for menopause. I very much enjoy this year's calendar. Last year's was great, this year's is SUPER DUPER!!! Spring has sprung here and I took pictures of my flowers in the backyard when I got home yesterday. Will email this week for identification. The best part is, they are PINK!! The former tenants knew me so well.

This is that part where I make it down to my Google Reader and realize that I completely confused you with Webb @ From the Garden Bench. I blame the jet lag. You have precious grandchildren, Webb has an amazing garden and is going to identify the random flowers in my backyard. Sorry about that.

Boy oh boy, March looks great from here! :-)

Actually after starting the month with snow yesterday, we're back to rain and wind and a day that feels like March is supposed to - moody and full of promise.

Now there's a handsome lad! He can help me tote my firewood any day. March came in like a lamb here in Colorado which means... well you know. More snow!

Cheers!
