I heart my pink Uggs

You know those cute pink Uggs floating in my blog Wednesday? Where the meme question was "Something you're not wearing?" and I answered "Uggs"?

I'm wearing them today.

I've had a pair of black suede Uggs for years, and I love how warm and comfy they are, and how much traction they have on ice. Something got me started looking at the new ones, with all the lovely colors. And then I discovered this "cardy" style, knit from a merino wool blend. Giant sweater sox with sheepskin inserts and rubbery soles. Not meant for puddles or the coldest of our weather--but then, neither are my unlined leather high-heeled boots.

Yesterday, I decided I HAD to have them. In pink (if you're going to be impractical, may as well go all the way). Ordered them online from Zappos at about 4 p.m. They arrived at 4 p.m. today! And with free shipping!

With suede Uggs, you can wear them straight up or rolled over. With these, you have a third choice--slouched, as in the top left photo. And a fourth, really, because if you roll them over you can unbutton them. Wow, endless possibilities!

I love those boots! My feet are cold as we speak. I just received a pair of Keene snow boots from Back Country, but they are not nearly as comfortable-looking as those cute pink ones! I've ordered from Zappos before and been very impressed. Enjoy.

I bought a pink pair for my daughter for Christmas. It took a wee bit of extra time for the to get to Idaho, but it was worth it. She loves them.
I like these, her's was the suede.

eeek! You got my Uggs!

I actually found a fake version in Nashville last night and bought them (in grey). Wore them today and everyone loved them.

I *still* can't justify the money for real Uggs+Nashville winters+only temporarily employed. You bet when that last thing changes? Totally getting the real deal.

Enjoy your awesome pink Uggs!

I have never slipped my feet into a pair of these, but now I might have to try them, they look so warm. Never heard about Zappos but will look them up!

I DO love those. But I've had lots (and I mean LOTS) of friends complain about how UGGS leak (obviously not the sweater kind as they are not really meant for wicked conditions, but the ones that are supposed to be weather-resistant). Did you have that issue with the suede ones? I'm about to hit up Zappos today..I've been all over this city and canNOT find a pair of Wellies that I love. And why buy Wellies that you aren't in love with??

Glad you enjoyed "your" post on my blog. Way to make me keep it real. :D

You're lucky you can wear cute things like that. I haven't owned a pair of boots in...forever. I just tough it out with my Reboks.

Just to let you know, after your blog, and my cold feet as I read it, I went to Zappos just to check them out. Well I have a pair in "fig" on their way! Uggs thanks you, and so do I. :-)

I sprayed Scotchguard on the suede ones and they were at least water resistant for a long time. If I step right into a puddle, they'll soak it up fairly quickly, though. I've also just noticed a split seam in my old ones, so I MAY have to buy a new pair. :-D

(BTW, I plan to Scotchguard the knit ones, too, just to try to keep them from getting too stained.)

(Also BTW, my husband seems to think this is one of the silliest purchases I've made in a long time. But they make me smile!)

If they make you smile, then they are well worth the price. If they make you happy then I am happy...

Those are super cute! I could NEVER order a pair for me though--Arielle would claim them as her own the instant they hit the door---never mind that we don't wear the same size!!

Oh I can't wait to show my daughters your Uggs...they told me I was too old but I said no...I am getting me some now!! They tend to say that about everything!! Yours are so cute!!!

Colleen, I know--you'd have to get a pair for each of you!

Gayle, I was thinking about you when I wrote this because I remembered your saying something about that. Sorry, daughters, we're never too old for anything unless WE say we are!

You gotta love Zappos. I actually bought a pair of Uggs clogs from them recently. An indecent amount of money but I had to have them!

They are awesome. My mom has a similar pair in maroon that I've been coveting, but I love the buttons on these.
