A sweet new book

A designer friend has published a charming picture book, My Heart is Like a Zoo, featuring animal characters fashioned from brightly colored heart shapes. It's just out. In fact, two days ago I ordered it on Amazon for the grandkids and yesterday we got an invitation to next week's book launch party. It looks like a great gift for Valentine's Day (a little late, but blame it on the East Coast snowstorms) or for virtually any occasion.

Michael Hall, the author, works sometimes with paper and sometimes with computer graphics programs. He loves to animate his creations, and he's made a short video to introduce the book.

(Full disclosure: Nobody asked me to write this post. I do stand to earn 44 cents if you buy through the Amazon link. Make my day!)

Oh my goodness..what a creative and unique idea. I love his little advertisement...the shapes flow so easily into each other, it's almost difficult to envision it as a book instead of a film! Ha! I am always amazed at people who have this kind of vision. I'm mesmorized, I can only imagine how the kids react. Congratulations to Mr. Hall!!

Wow, 44 cents? How will you spend it? Very nice book! If I had kids around I'd make you rich.

My grandchildren love books.

Looks like a book I could use with my second graders to teach about similes. Thanks for sharing.

I just bought this book last week and love it! (Had I known I could have purchased it through your Amazon link, I would have. Sorry I got here too late to do that.)
