Dear 2010, I'm not quite ready for you....

I'm starting the new year with minimal goals. Finish eating the treats we still have around here from Christmas. Send out a couple of holiday cards (some years they become Valentines; most years I don't send any). Put a new header on the blog. Hang up my new calendar (my husband reminded me of that one).

After that, I'll spend the weekend thinking about longer-term goals. I don't want to rush into anything.

But speaking of calendars, some will remember that I won a naughty calendar giveaway from Eva at Wrestling With Retirement. As she explains here, the calendar is a fundraiser featuring men from York, Maine. By popular request, here is Mr. January.

I think I might send out valentine's cards this year. Everyone likes getting non-bill mail, don't they?

Funny calendar. I live in a 55+ community, I see more than the law should allow of half-naked old men. Happy New Year.

Thank you for stopping by my place and I hope you keep on coming back! I'm also glad you watched Planes, Trains and Automobiles. I watch it every year...I still laugh out loud at it and its especially tender at the end. Aren't grandkids wonderful? I LOVE being a grandma. And I'll tell ya, that strawberry martini thingie you make looks pretty durn good!!! LOL
Be well, be safe and be happy! Val

As soon as I finish my comment, I'll go over and follow YOU! Thanks for coming over to D-Jan-ity and making yourself known. Also I guess you could call ME a blissed out grandma but without any grandkids, no fault of mine. Sounds like an aging hippie to me, and I fit right in there!
