Second-child syndrome
I bet there are 60,000 images of Augie floating around on family computers and in carefully compiled photo albums, at least four of which I compiled myself. Vi? Not so much. I now understand what happens to second children (and, I'm sure, most kids after the Fabulous First). Or what doesn't happen. They are loved, for sure, but not so obsessively photographed. For one thing, each tiny new development is not quite such an amazing discovery to parents and grandparents. More important, two babies (one only 15 months older) are way more work. Anyway, here to help balance the cosmic photo record is a very recent snapshot of the sweet, beautiful, smart, and strong Lady Vi.

What an angelic child with those big beautiful eyes. I'm sure she is treasured.
I often wonder how a child gets any individual attention when there are many kids in the family
(18 & counting, for crying out loud!) Who cares when the 17th child gets his first tooth or the 15th kid has a trumatic experience?
It's "do your chores and hurry up and eat".
She is so cute!!! How old? Isn't the love unbelieveable!!
She'll be 18 months next week. She is definitely treasured. Even as a second, I know she gets lots more attention than many firsts!
I have 2 grandchildren too. We had them over today. Pretty well every Sunday is our day with them. We attend Church in the morning, have lunch together, then they spend the afternoon with grandma and pappa.
Grandchildren are so much fun. We love it. We have another one due in July, very exciting.
Loved your blog. Come visit me, love to hear from you.
She is a doll! You are lucky to have them "visit" you everyday..! :)
