Back in fall 2009 I posted these photos, which I was intending to print and frame for a "winter
garden" on one of our walls. Since almost nobody saw them and since we are enjoying a week of plus-30 degree weather instead of minus-30, this seems a perfect time to post them again.
Phlox
Bellflowers and roses
Red Admiral butterfly
What a beautiful reminder of summer which many of use could sure use right now. It is in the 40s here today but the crazy wind makes it feel much colder.
ReplyDeleteYour painfully pretty pictures make me ache for Spring.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely respite..thanks! It was a tough day today I needed some flowers:)
ReplyDeleteAs I cleaned out a closet today, I saw my summer tops and wondered if I'd ever really wear them again. Come on summer.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I'm ready for summer. Glad you guys have a break from the extreme cold now. January thaw.
ReplyDeleteYou inspire me to go through my photos and find a few summer pieces to post. We've had a bit of a thaw, too, though it's supposed to drop again and send more snow. Those flowers are quite perfect!
ReplyDeleteAh, what a breath of summer these pictures are! I love them all, but especially the fragile beauty of the second one. :-)
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are beautiful and so are your flowers. Glad to hear you are having a heat wave! Enjoy it as it probably won't last.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I am ready for spring, big time.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the hit of spring ... I am more than ready ...
ReplyDeleteThanks for these! I good reminder that Spring will come!
ReplyDeleteIt is 10 days later since your "heat wave." I hope your temps are still tolerable.
ReplyDeleteThe photos are beautiful! Do print and frame them.
