the thousand words
I posted a few days ago about dance lessons. I just bought this shot, taken by a professional photographer during Vi's tap performance. She seems to be checking out the next step, and I love the grace of her body and the lovely sweet look on her face.
This is a beautiful photo and it would make a gorgeous painting, perhaps in the style of Renoir who was so masterful at capturing the essence of childhood.
ReplyDeleteI agree with what Stephen said -- definitely a Renoir look there.
ReplyDeleteOh, she is so beautiful and this photo is definitely a treasure. But then, so is she.
Yep, Renoir.
ReplyDeleteWhat a photograph!
This one will be treasured for generations. It's so perfectly captured, a beautiful person and her burgeoning craft. Thank you for sharing this! :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to say that it reminds me of Degas' ballerina paintings!!!
ReplyDeleteShe is so beautiful! You must be SO proud!!

This really is a beautiful picture. We are waiting now for pics from one of my 5 yr old granddaughter's recent recital. I'm not expecting them to be so artistic, but they will still be fun to have. You definitely have one suitable for framing.
ReplyDeleteEnchanting portrait. I hope you got a copy to hang on your wall!
ReplyDeleteMore than a picture it's a beautiful portrait. Just darling! xo Jenny
ReplyDeleteShe looks perfect! And the picture also compliments her inner beauty as you've also expressed in your description of her.
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy! Sometimes a photo captures more than the moment. A photo of a pensioner can somehow show you know exactly what they looked like as a kid. And in this one, I can somehow see what Vi will look like as an adult. Great job by the photographer. Indigo x
ReplyDeleteMy goodness--for the most part, I am quite content with my three boys. But once in a while, a picture comes along that makes me wish I'd had a little girl....
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful!
that shot is worth the money.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot!
